Another busy year has come to an end and here at Simons Landscaping we are looking forward to a well-earned 2-week break over Christmas and coming back refreshed and ready for 2023.

Our team of 25 have carried out many different commercial and domestic projects throughout the year and completed them to a high standard. Looking back at a few of the jobs over 2022 below, our employees have achieved some amazing finishes to the projects.

Such as all the way back in January and February where one of our jobs was a garden transformation in Thelmthorpe, we had many different teams working on this project firstly by desilting a stream and putting a sleeper retaining wall in place. Turfing a large area for the rear lawn, installing an enclosed hot tub area with a natural looking finish and ending the project with a new parking area to match the existing driveway with reclaimed sleeper to the lawn edge.

The weather started to warm up in March  and leading into April and May the driveway and road works started to roll in fast with our teams were completing several tarmac and tar and chip jobs a week including Great Witchingham Hall and a couple of domestic jobs pictured, these and many more were carried out alongside our fencing, patio, turfing and other works.

Coming out of spring and rolling into the summer months of June, July and August our resin works of patio and driveways became very busy alongside many porcelain patios where we took on some stunning jobs. Our employees worked long 10-hour days in the hot sun with temperatures reaching into the 30s to get the work done.  Our fencing teams took on lots of different fencing works having to work hard to penetrate the hard, dry ground. All our employees were given days off in between jobs to rest and recuperate ready to take on the next job.

September and October stayed mainly mild and dry letting us continue doing some fantastic projects. November saw the evenings start to draw in and turn a little colder the working days became shorter and the wet weather made the jobs harder to complete however all the employees worked hard and managed to fulfill the jobs in the allocated time.

That brings us to this month, December and the the count down to the end of the year.  All the staff had a lovely meal at the SugarBeat eating house in Swainsthorpe at the beginning of the month to celebrate the Christmas season. Our final project being a complete garden transformation in Taverham started in November where the whole garden was cleared, new fencing erected all the way round, a large sweeping sandstone patio was laid with a pergola built and erected with turfing to the rest of the garden and  planting areas filled with soil. The customer was overwhelmed with the end result and has booked us in for driveway works next year.

This brings our total number of jobs completed for this year to 279.

We would like to wish our past, present and future customers a very happy Christmas for 2022 and a happy and healthy 2023.
