Digger bucket water feature - Norfolk Show

The Royal Norfolk Show

After a successful 2018 stand at the Norfolk Show, Simons Landscaping decided to make a bigger appearance at the 2019 show. The Royal Norfolk Show (more simply the Norfolk Show) is an annual agricultural show, and is held by the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association. It is the largest 2 day agricultural show in England, and has been held almost every year since 1847. Shows were not held in 1866, 1911, 1934 and 1957 – Royal Norfolk Show website

The stand

Our team went for a simple stand on display at the 2019 Royal Norfolk Show. We edged our stand with reclaimed sleepers to create a frame for our display. On the far left of the display, we installed three different paving slabs showing off a different range: Grey Porcelain, Fossil Mint Indian Sandstone and Kandla Grey Indian Sandstone. These were edged with a range for Chelsea Sets. The next part of the display we installed tarmac surface with red and gold stones rolled in. The final surface our team installed was a resin display, with four different colours: Pommegrannet, Golden Sunrise, Nebula and Silver. The resin display was very popular amongst the show; as the new up and coming surface of choice over the last year. The final piece of our display was an artificial grass area. Artificial  grass is becoming ever so popular now due to the high quality that the product can achieve. The biggest attention draw of our stand was the water feature that our team created out of an old digger bucket. This shows that you can always do something different with landscaping and our team will be able to innovate this for you.

Dotted around the rest of our display we had a range of our machinery on display. These included: Rollers, Tar and Shingle lorry, and grab lorry. To add a bit of excitement to our stand, this year we added Olive trees around the stand to add something different whilst also being available for customer to purchase on the day.

Another great two days at the Norfolk Show and we enjoyed the opportunity to speak to members of the public about different landscaping options. The Norfolk Show is a great place to show off our skilled work and allows the members of the public to get up close to our landscaping options.

With the great success of our fourth stand at the Norfolk Show, we will be coming back next year. See you in 2020!
